when i bought my first camera, my dad suggested i get a canon because he had an ae-1 and i could use his lenses and flash. i bought an ae-1 program and all of my high school photography was shot with it. i sold the ae-1 long ago and bought a nikon n90s, but my dad kept his old ae-1 until just a few weeks ago when he gave it to me. i had not shot film in a while and i could not tell you the last time i used a 50mm fixed length lens, but something about getting back to basics really worked for me. i think you will agree!
