when i first started talking with the staff of the city morgue about doing a cover, they gave me some very specific ideas about what they wanted. the only problem was what they wanted was something that couldn't easily be shot in the time they wanted it, so we agreed to postpone the idea and work on something different. the majority of the covers tcm had published did not contain people. being primarily a portrait photographer, i wanted to put a person on the cover, so i initially shot my friend krizsa cloaked in my muslin backdrop and sent the idea off to the staff. they were looking for an eerieer image, so we shot again the next night and came up with a gothic snow white witch theme. they loved the concept and made this image my very first cover photo :)
